Chairman of the IOC Marketing Commission Gerhard Heiberg has received a resounding vote of confidence from the IOC members with his re-election to the Executive Board.
Heiberg polled more than 50% of the votes against a star-studded field including Juan Antonio Samaranch (junior), Mustapha Larfaoui and Anita Defrantz.
