Narracott wraps up pre Games World Cup circuit
PyeongChang 2018 skeleton hopeful, Jackie Narracott has wrapped up her pre-Olympic World Cup circuit with a 21st place finish in Koenigssee, Germany.

SKELETON: PyeongChang 2018 skeleton hopeful, Jackie Narracott has wrapped up her pre-Olympic World Cup circuit with a 21st place finish in Koenigssee, Germany.

The 26-year-old said she tried to stay as relaxed as possible heading into competition, using this World Cup as a final test run before the Olympics kick off on February 9th.

"We used it as a fun race to get some pressure free sliding in me prior to the Games," Narracott said.

The Queenslander admitted she had been feeling pretty flat all week and her focus wasn’t there.

"Part of me thought that I’d still come away with a good result but in reality that wasn’t the case.

"Our field is that tight that if you haven’t done the work you’ll get punished on race day which is exactly what happened."

Narracott walked away with a solid push start which gave her a boost.

"I’m actually glad that our race was stopped half way through the first heat and rescheduled for after the guys race because I felt a lot more energised for the rerun."

Narracott will not return to her training base in Bath, UK for two weeks before she heads to the PyeongChang 2018 Village to kick off her debut Olympic campaign.
