CoSport, the Official Ticket Sales and Hospitality Provider of the AOC, announced today that a new round of ticket sales for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will open to the Australian public on Friday, 17 January at 10 a.m. AEDT.
Since debuting ticket sales last year to record-breaking demand, CoSport has worked with AOC and the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee to attain additional allocations and maximise opportunities for Australians to experience the Games.

AOC and CoSport are now pleased that cooperation has led to new tickets being released to the Australian public across seating categories and high-demand events, from Artistic Gymnastics to Athletics, to be sold Friday on a first come-first served basis, in addition to newly-updated packages which streamline accommodation options, exclusive hospitality experiences and expert travel guidance.
On Friday, participating CoSport customers wishing to purchase these new and limited Tokyo 2020 tickets will be placed into an ordered queue at 10 a.m. AEDT, or beginning at 9:30 a.m. may enter a waiting room for processing into that queue, to ensure fair access amid what is expected to be high demand.
CoSport’s previous sales registered nearly 1 million web visits last July and October, selling out of most tickets within hours.
Record demand in Japan has resulted in the majority of tickets being unavailable outside the host country, with Australia sharing in remainders split among more than 200 other Olympic territories.
“With nearly 6-months until its Opening Ceremony, athletes already qualifying and The Olympic Stadium nearing completion, Tokyo 2020 is set to be one of the greatest Games ever,” said Robert F. Long, President of CoSport.
