Three Australian boxers are just one win away from sealing selection at this year's Rio Olympics.

BOXING: Three Australian boxers are just one win away from sealing selection at this year's Rio Olympics.

Commonwealth Games gold medallist,Shelley Watts, her Glasgow teammate, Daniel Lewis, and Victorian Jason Whateley all won their quarter final bouts at the Asian and Oceania Olympic qualifiers in Quin'an, China.

The top three in each weight division automatically qualify for Olympic selection.

2014 Youth Olympic Games medallist, Caitlyn Parker, lost her quarter final, as did South Australia's David Biddle and Victoria's Harry Garside.

Parker and teammate Kristy Harris will get another chance to qualify at the Women's World Championships in Kazakhstan in May.

Australia did not qualify any men through last year's World Championships, but are in a strong position to qualify both Lewis and Whateley this week.

Both the men's and the women's semi finals will be contested on Thursday.
