Jenny Owens has finished the 2008/09 northern hemisphere season ranked 12th on the World Cup ski cross standings.
Owens finished in 14th in the final events of the season, in La Plagne, France, going out in an opening head-to-head quarter-final round that included six time World Cup champion Ophelie David of France.
David went on to win the gold from Canadian Kelsey Serwa, with Emilie Serain of Switzerland filling the third spot on the podium.
It was David’s sixth victory of the season and capped off a season in which she had already secured her sixth straight World Cup title.
She accumulated 860 points for the year, finishing nearly 400 clear of nearest rival Katharina Gutensohn of Austria, who was on 469 points.
Owens finished the year with 230 points.
