ALPINE SKIING: Katie Parker has unfortunately finished her Lillehammer 2016 campaign with a DNF in the slalom event at the Hafjell Olympic Slope.
The youngster from Melbourne was unable to get through her first run when she straddled, one of her skis went on the wrong side of the gate, under 30 seconds into the run.
"I was skiing decent prior to straddling," Parker said.
"The course was pretty icy and I was trying to get a feel for it but I didn't really."
The event wraps up Parker's four event program in Lillehammer. She recorded two top 20 finishes in the Super G and Combined but was unable to finish the giant slalom and slalom.
"I'm happy with my speed results and overall I am happy. It was good to get this experience."
Parker and teammate Louis Muhlen just missed out on securing a spot in the mixed team parallel event.
Muhlen will finish his program with hte men's slalom event tomorrow.
