The 2015 Pacific Games Relay will average three provinces a day, as it is seen and touched by as many people as possible in 100 days of travel in order to take the XVth Pacific Games to the people.
It is an opportunity for all Papua New Guineans people to be involved in an event that encompasses sport, culture and heritage.
The Relay will engage all the people of the nation in a celebration of participation and culture.
The Relay offers an opportunity for each province to showcase its people, its culture, its natural beauty and its unique spot in the diverse country that is PNG.
The baton will travel by land, sea and air using modern and traditional methods of transport and will finish its journey at the Games Opening Ceremony on 4 July 2015.
The final baton bearer will proudly carry the baton on its final leg into the Opening Ceremony where it will become part of the official opening of the XVth Pacific Games.
