Pullin number two in the world after World Cup silver medal

Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin has become the world’s number two snowboard cross rider after claiming a silver medal in the final event of the season. Pullin continued his great elimination round form in the Spanish resort of La Molina, qualifying in second place behind World Cup leader Pierre Vaultier of France. The 22-year-old AIS scholarship holder then blitzed his opposition in the early rounds of the final, winning his round of 32 encounter, his quarter-final and semi-final before narrowly going down to Vaultier in the final.
