Jacqui Cooper has the chance to take the world record for most women's aerial skiing victories when she competes in China this weekend.
Cooper will line up in Jilin Beida Lake for the opening two events of the 2006/07 World Cup, resting on a career tally of 16 victories.
Former Australian team-mate Kirstie Marshall and Canadian skier Marie-Claud Asselin share the record with 17 victories apiece, and after the disappointment of Torino 2006, Cooper would like nothing more than to etch her name into the record books as the greatest World Cup winner of all time.
Her training form in North America on the waterjump has been remarkably good, the 33-year-old veteran's triple twisting somersaults tight and consistent.
But she faces the formidable Chinese team jumping on home snow, as well as Torino gold medallist Evelyne Leu, who is also a triple somersault exponent.
The first event will take place on Saturday, with a second event to follow on Sunday.
