Helping to bring this inspiration to schools that work so hard to encourage students daily is an honour and a rewarding experience for our Olympians.

“Over 55,000 students in NSW have now experienced the Olympics Unleashed and heard first-hand from Olympians how to set goals, create incremental progress and turn a long-term dream into a personal reality.
“Like many, Over the past year Olympians have faced monumental challenges. Sharing this experience with students helps them to understand how to overcome their own obstacles and face-up to challenges presented in their everyday lives.”
“Thank you to the NSW Government for their ongoing commitment to Olympics Unleashed and we look forward to continuing to connect with students and grow the program across the state.”
Rohan Browning discussed what it has been like being part of Olympics Unleashed and his own experiences on his journey to the Olympics.
“Sport often feels like a selfish pursuit, being involved with Olympics Unleashed has shown me the other side of it,” said Browning.
“I’ve loved meeting so many kids and telling them about my path through sport. I’m very proud to be a part of the program, which hits its 500th school talk today.”
“I’m looking forward to sharing my story with Wadalba Community School later today”.
Nicole Kaiserfeld Deputy Principal at Smith's Hill High School spoke about the impact the program had on their students when the program visited last month.
“It [Olympics Unleashed] really helped my students to understand how to take a seemingly monumental goal like becoming an Olympian and break it down into achievable steps they could take every day, making what is a huge goal seem realistic and attainable, “said Ms Kaiserfeld
“This approach to goal setting is something you can apply to anything you want to achieve in life.”
“The program also helped my student understand resilience, hearing from an Olympian that failure is just part of the process, really resonated with my students and building resilience is so critically important in helping them reach their dreams.”
The program is free for schools and aimed at year 9 students in New South Wales. Schools can find out more about the program at www.olympicsunleashed.com.au
