HOCKEY: They Hockeyroos have just wrapped up their Tokyo 2020 Olympic Test Event competition in third place, after defeating China 3-1 in the bronze medal play off.

Their final victory follows a 3-2 loss to China in the opening round of the competition, plus a 2-2 draw with India and Japan before facing China again on Wednesday evening.

The Olympic Test Event is a crucial competition for our 2020 hockey Olympic hopefuls, as it gives them the opportunity to test the Olympic pitch in the hot and humid conditions they can expect at next year’s Summer Games.

The Test Event is also invaluable preparation and quality matches ahead of their crucial Olympic qualifiers against New Zealand next month.

During their time in Japan, Hockeyroos #2, Ambrosia ‘Rosie’ Malone took over the @AUSOlympicTeam Instagram account to give followers an exclusive sneak peak into the Olympic Test Event in Japan.

From training in the extreme heat conditions, to a cultural Japanese dinner, find out what life is like for the Hockeyroos when they’re on tour with Rosie’s #OlympicTakeover.
