Riding at the World Cup finals in La Molina, Spain, Crawford collected the third victory of her career, climbing to the number three ranking in the world in the process.
The 26-year-old AIS scholarship holder topped the qualifying round with 41.7 points, then put down a 38.4 point score in the opening run of the final.
She was unable to better that score in her second run, but neither could any of the other five finalists, giving her the victory. The result gave her back to back gold medals and a third straight podium placing.
Cai Xuetong of China headed the final World Cup standings on 3020 points, with compatriot Sun Xifeng in second position on 2805 and Crawford on 2600.
Coming on top of AIS teammate Alex Pullin’s second place on the snowboard cross standings and Torah Bright’s gold medal in Vancouver, Crawford’s result rounds out an excellent season for Australia’s snowboard riders.
Joh Shaw will finish off the season on Monday morning Australian time when she competes in the parallel giant slalom in La Molina.
