FREESTYLE - SKI SLOPESTYLE: Anna Segal arrived in Sochi from Switzerland on Saturday night, on a charter flight with other Freestyle athletes from around the world.
The fact that she’s about to compete in her first Olympic Winter Games, is only now setting in.
"Even just a few days ago it didn't really register that I was going to the Olympics, just flying on the plane with all the teams on there was just, I don't know, butterflies is all that I can explain," she told the gathered media at Sochi International Airport.
The 27-year-old from Melbourne has been battling a knee injury this season. She’ll undergo a fitness test in the next few days, which will determine whether or not she’s named on the entry list on Monday 10 February.
Despite not having been on the snow in the past few weeks, she says she’s not too worried about the fitness test.
"Mentally I'm feeling stronger than I ever have. I've been doing a lot of visualising and just really positive energy and positive thoughts. I think the mental toughness is the most important thing to have and my body's also feeling pretty good too," Segal said.
