Australian rider Johanna Shaw has finished in 33rd place in the second parallel giant slalom event of the 2003/04 World Cup season, held in Tandadalen, Sweden.

Australian rider Johanna Shaw has finished in 33rd place in the second parallel giant slalom event of the 2003/04 World Cup season, held in Tandadalen, Sweden.

Shaw defeated former World Cup overall champion Manuela Riegler of Austria in the first qualification round, but missed out on the second round on times.

The 21-year-old finished in 45th place in the opening PGS of the season in Soelden, Austria, at the start of October.
The Tandadalen event was won by Daniela Mueli, who has dominated the beginning of the season. The Swiss rider has not been off the podium, finishing third in PGS and second in PSL in Soelden, then winning the PSL in Landgraaf, Holland, at the end of October. The silver medal went to Sara Fischer of Sweden, with Doresia Krings of Austria in third place.

The men’s PGS was won by Stefan Kalschuetz of Austria, with Gilles Jaquet of Switzerland second and Dieter Krassnig of Austria third.
