A pair of 23rd placings has been the leading return for Australia's short track speed skaters at the third World Cup of the season in Heerenveen, The Netherlands. Lachlan Hay finished in 23rd place in the men's 1000m, while Jeremy Beck made the same placing in the second of two 500m events.

A pair of 23rd placings has been the leading return for Australia's short track speed skaters at the third World Cup of the season in Heerenveen, The Netherlands.
 
Lachlan Hay finished in 23rd place in the men's 1000m, while Jeremy Beck made the same placing in the second of two 500m events.
 
Hay was also 24th in the 1500mm after a fall in his opening heat, while Beck was 28th in the opening 500m race.
 
In the women's races, rookie Alix-Myra Anderson finished in 28th place in the women's 1500m, and followed that up with a 32nd placing in the 1000m.
 
The team now travels to Torino for the fourth World Cup of the season, commencing on November 30.
