In ski cross, Jenny Owens won silver in Lake Placid, her third podium place in two seasons, finishing the season ranked number 12 in the world. She had her share of bad luck along the way – part and parcel of head-to-head ski cross competition – but she showed that she has the speed and the aggression to be a contender for medals in Vancouver 2010.
