Breakers Rachael Gunn and Jeff Dunne created history at the Place de la Concorde, becoming the first ever breakers to represent Australia at the Olympics in the sports debut in Paris.

Rachael, aka Raygun, was drawn against Logistx (USA), Syssy (FRA) and Nicka (LTU) in her preliminary round group, with the 36-year-old executing a variety of spectacular throwdowns to take it up to each of her opponents, sending the crowd into raptures throughout several key moves.

Despite her best efforts, Raygun was unable to take a win from the group, and was eliminated before the knockout stage.

Jeff, aka J Attack, also laid it down hard in the B-Boy competition against some of the best breakers in the world.

The 16-year-old was drawn in a tough group against 2022 world champion Phil Wizard (CAN), 2023 European Games gold medallist Dany Dann (FRA) and Ukranian Kuzya, but showed no fear as he took it up to them.

The youngest competitor in the field, J-Attack had the crowd heavily involved in several battles, but it wasn’t enough to see him progress to the knockout stages.
