In one of their most youthful teams in recent years, Australian sailors made waves at the Olympics, securing a gold and silver medal, along with three top-10 finishes across eight events.

The competition, marked by light winds and long delays on the Mediterranean Sea, tested the sailors’ resilience and patience, but they rose to the challenge.

Team highlights include Matt Wearn making history as the first to ever defend an Olympic gold medal in the Men’s Dinghy event, extending Australia’s dominance in this category to an unprecedented four consecutive Olympic titles.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old Grae Morris dazzled in his Olympic debut, capturing silver in the adrenaline-pumping Men’s Windsurfing event, showcasing his raw talent and flair.

The future is bright for Australian sailing. With the team inspired by each other’s achievements, they’re ready to rest, reset, and come back stronger for LA 2028.
