Listen to Dr Josh Booth's podcast after being selected for Tokyo 2020

When the Toyo 2020 Olympics were postponed, dual rowing Olympian Josh Booth had to make the tough decision to step away from training for a third Games, to work as a doctor on the frontline of the COVID pandemic.

With state-wide lockdowns, no access to a rowing boat, and being away from his teammates during most of 2020 – all while working long hours in the hospital – Booth says it took a new level of resilience and determination to be in contention for selection for a third Games.

He relives the highs and lows of his previous two Olympic campaigns at London and Rio, and what it was like to finally be selected for the Tokyo Olympics in Adelaide this week.

Alongside his teammates in the men’s eight, he shares his hopes and dreams for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
