London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic diver, Anabelle Smith claimed her first Olympic medal alongside synchro partner, Maddison Keeney in the 3m synchronised springboard event when they won bronze at Rio. Smith spoke to David Culbert about the elation of winning a medal, but also the emptiness she felt post-Olympics.
Partnering with AIS as a Community Custodian for Lifeline, Smith chatted candidly about her struggles to re-find her purpose and how imperative reaching out for help has been for her career.
Now, with Tokyo 2020 in their sights, Smith and Keeney will try and complete the most difficult dive attempted by a female when they aim to make their second Olympic appearance as a partnership next year.
