800m runner Catriona Bisset has had a break-through 2019 season, breaking a 43-year-old Australian record, but first she had to break through her own mental barriers.

Bisset's greatest sporting achievement so far, has been breaking Australia's longest-standing female athletics record when she ran a Tokyo-qualifying time of 1:58.78 at the London Diamond League in July. She broke Charlene Rendina’s 43-year-old record by 0.22 of a second.

But her greatest personal feat, is overcoming the mental health challenges she faced along the way, which almost led her to give up her career.
