GYMNASTICS - TRAMPOLINE: Having completed a five day preparation camp in the UK, the Australian trampoline team are ready to take on the World's best in Bulgaria.
Monday 28 October saw 10 of Australia's best trampoline and double mini trampoline (DMT) athletes depart for an intensive preparation camp in the UK.
The Team focused heavily on competition preparation at the camp, which proved successful with all athletes completing their routines and passes with ease. The World Championships will be held on Eurotramp Ultimate equipment, which the team were fortunate to be able to train on and adapt quickly to in Gillingham.
The trampoline team consisted of 2012 Olympian Blake Gaudry and teammates Ty Swadling, Will Morris
and Jack Penny.
Gaudry and Ty Swadling competed at the 2009, 2010 and 2011 World Championships. Additionally, Penny has previously competed in the DMT and made the final at the 2010 World Championships. Morris made his debut at this level in 2011.
The delegation have travelled to Sofia, Bulgaria, where unusally warm weather has welcomed them to the city. Podium Training begun on 4 November and competition commences with the Individual Trampoline events on Thursday 7 November.
