Brad Wall has registered another top 80 per cent of field result, the Australian Olympic Committee C level requirement for possible selection to the Australian Olympic Team for Torino 2006, after finishing in 50th place in a giant slalom World Cup in Kransjka Gora, Slovenia.

Wall clocked one minute 18.4 seconds for his first run journey down the Podkoren course, 8.08 seconds behind mid-race leader Benjamin Raich of Austria., to collect the second of the three top 80 results he needs to even be considered for the team.

Team-mate Luke Deane, who finished on place higher on 49th, 7.36 seconds behind Raich, had already racked up his third top 80 per cent last week in Alta Badia.

The Austrian went on to take the gold medal, his first for the season, from Italian Massimiliano Blardone and Canadian Thomas Grandi.

Blardone leads the World Cup GS standings.
A slalom event will be contested tonight, Jono Brauer taking his place in the field alongside Wall, and both of them looking for their second top 60 per cent results.
