The Women's Artistic Gymnastics team qualified an Olympic Team quota for the first time since 2012, Equestrian jumpers won silver and top 10 finishes in Golf, Beach Volleyball and Athletics headlined the weekend in Olympic sport.
Gymnastics - Women's Artistic Gymnasts Qualify Team for Paris 2024
A top 10 finish at the World Championships has secured Australia's Women's Artistic Gymnastics team a place at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Needing to finish in the top 12, the team put in a fantastic performance to finish 9th, with a score of 157.896, qualifying a Team Olympic spot for the first time since London 2012.
The team of Georgia Godwin, Emily Whitehead, Kate McDonald, Breanna Scott and Ruby Pass put on a strong display of gymnastics against the best in the world.
Victorian Kate McDonald started team Australia's impressive campaign on Uneven Bars, also qualifying as the third reserve for the apparatus finals with a score of 13.900.
Tokyo Olympian Georgia Godwin continued her impressive form of late, notching up a number of solid routines to also secure herself a place in the All Around final later this week.
The men's team finished in 24th with a score of 201.095.

Equestrian - Silver at Nations Cup Jumping Final
The Australian jumping team of Chris Burton and 'Chedington Hazy Toulana', Hilary Scott and 'Oaks Milky Way' and Jamie Kermond and 'Yandoo Oaks Constellation' have taken silver at the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona over the weekend.
The Australians performed brilliantly throughout the competition and after four waves of riders it all came down to a two-way jump off against the Netherlands for the top spot on the podium.
Unfortunately, one rail down in an otherwise exceptional performance by Chris Burton and 'Chedington Hazy Toulana' in the final round opened the door for the Netherlands, who went on to perform a clear run to take the win.

Athletics - Top 10 finishes at inaugural Road Running Championships
Australian athletes claimed a trio of top 10 finishes at the inaugural road running championships over the weekend in Riga, Latvia.
Olympian Jessica Hull led the charge with a sensational fifth place finish in the road mile, posting a time of 4:32.45. On the men's side, Jack Anstey was Australia's top performer finishing 10th with a time of 3:58.30.
Olympian Morgan McDonald finished seventh in the men's 5km race in a time of 13.26, moving McDonald to second fastest on the Australian all-time list behind national record holder Craig Mottram at 13:20.
Other Australians in action were Sarah Billings (mile, 14th), Matthew Ramsden (mile, 12th), Stewart McSweyn (5km, 19th), Caitlin Adams (5km, 12th), Lauren Ryan (5km, 19th), Isobel Batt-Doyle (half-marathon, 14th), Sinead Noonan (half-marathon, 46th), Tara Palm (half-marathon, 48th), Tim (marathon, 48th), and Ed Goddard (marathon, 70th).

Golf - Seventh place finish for Hannah Green
Hannah Green has finished seventh at the LPGA Tour's Walmart NW Arkansas Championship in Arizona, USA over the weekend while Australia rookie Grace Kim tied for 18th after an outstanding final round.
Hannah, Grace and Minjee Lee have all qualified for the tour championship in Florida next month with the top 60 players on the point list automatically qualifying for the season-ender.
Stephanie Kyriacou and Sarah Kemp are currently sitting in 62nd and 72nd respectively, with six tournaments remaining to qualify.

Beach Volleyball - Top 10 for Clancy and Artacho del Solar Finish in Paris
Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar finished in equal 9th at the Beach Volleyball Pro Tour Elite 16 event in Paris.
Starting their campaign with a come from behind win in their first pool match against the USA's Terese Cannon & Megan Kraft (18-21 25-23 15-11), the pair went down to another American pair, Kristen Nuss & Taryn Kloth, (21-13 21-19).
The pair's tournament was ended with a loss in the Round of 12 to eventual bronze medallists Stam and Schoon of the Netherlands.
On the men's side, Australians Thomas Hodges and Zachary Schubert progressed through the qualification rounds to contest the main draw of the tournament, finishing in equal 13th.
The teams now head to Tlaxcala Mexico for the World Championships starting later this week.

Cycling - Mountain Bike World Cup
Aussie Mountain Bikers took on the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup event in Snowshoe USA, with Bec McConnell the top ranked Australian in 16th.
McConnell was right in the mix in the front group, before an untimely flat tyre far from the tech zone cruelled her chances of a higher finish.
On the men's side, Sam Fox finished 68th.
