An Australian athletics record went tumbling in Tasmania and Valentino Guseli’s opening to the Big Air World Cup season highlights the weekend action in Olympic sports.

26-year-old Jack Rayner has taken down the Australian 10km Record at the Burnie 10 in Tasmania.
The Tokyo 2020 marathon runner finished in a time of 27:43, 11 seconds faster than the previous record holder Craig Mottram (27:54).

Snowboard – Big Air
Beijing 2022 snowboarder Valentino Guseli is off and running on the 2022-23 Big Air World Cup season, finishing 6th in the final on the weekend in Chur, Switzerland.
All eight finalists receive three jumps each, with their two best counting towards their total score, and Valentino landed the third best individual jump (83.75) of the night with his back triple 1620 weddle.
Tennis
Alex de Minaur made a run to the Stockholm Open semi-finals in Scotland, recording his fifth win against a top-20 opponent of the year in the process.
The 23-year-old met world no.20 Denis Shapovalov (CAN) in the quarter-finals and knocked him out in straight sets 6-2 7-6(4).

A tight three-setter awaited Alex in the semi-final against teenager Holger Rune (DEN), with the Aussie going down 6-4 6-7(1) 5-7.
Basketball & Football
Dual Olympian basketballer Brad Dalton (1984 & 1988) and Athens 2004 Matilda Joanne Peters have been included as part of the 2022 NSW Hall of Champions inductees.
The induction ceremony will take place on Monday 28 November in Sydney.
