Minjee Lee's consistently strong performances throughout the year have finally been rewarded with her first Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour win of the season, and Aussie cyclists have won six events to headline Aussie achievements in Olympic sport from the weekend.
Golf
World no.5 Minjee Lee has taken out her first title on the 2022 LGPA Tour, winning the Founders Cup in New Jersey, USA.
She finished 19 under par and two strokes clear of American Lexi Thompson who battled with Minjee right up to the final hole.

The Australian's best round came on day two as she registered a 9-under 63, which provided a handy buffer on the competition after shooting 70 on the final day.
With the win Minjee extends improves her position as the LPGA scoring leader.
Cycling
The 2022 Track Nations Cup in Milton, Canada has proved to be a very happy hunting ground for the 14-strong Australian Cycling Team.
The quartet of Josh Duffy, Conor Leahy, James Moriarty and Graeme Frislie got the team off to a great start on Friday, winning gold in the 4000m team pursuit. For James and Graeme it makes their overseas international debut at the top level unforgettable, forcing Italy to settle for silver.
Saturday brought more gold with Meave Plouffe comfortably winning the womenās individual pursuit, putting the difficulties of a recovering from concussion in March 2022 behind her.
Success continued on Sunday as Kristina Clonan had a remarkable win in the womenās 500m time trial. Her time of 32.987, .473 of a second faster than the silver medallist, is right up to world championship-winning standard.
Matthew Richardson joined in the gold medal performances on Monday as he dominated the men's sprint. Five events for Matthew so far in this Track Nations Cup season have resulted in five podium finishes, with the 23-year-old rising to each occasion.
Mountain Bike
Rebecca McConnell is in a rich vein of form, separating herself from the field once again in an astonishing display at the Nove Mesto World Cup in the Czech Republic.
Itās the third time sheās won a World Cup race in 2022 by more than 40 seconds, after having not won a World Cup race in her career before 2022.
Road Cycling
Jai Hindley has won the ninth stage of the Giro dāItalia.
In doing so he beat the 2019 champion Richard Carapaz on the 187km ride.
BMX
Australian champion Izaac Kennedy has won his first USA BMX pro.
Athletics
Peter Bol and Jessica Hull have starred in the first leg of the 2022 Diamond League in Qatar, making podium finishes against top quality international competition.
Peter's time of 1:49.35 over 800m earned him second place and beat the current world champion Donavan Brazier (USA) and Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Ferguson Cheruiyot Rotich.
In the women's 3000m Jessica did it in a time of 8:40.97 to finish third.
The Diamond League continues next week in Birmingham, England which are the hosts of the 2022 Commonwealth Games starting 28th July.
Race Walking
Rhydian Cowley and Kelly Ruddick have won Australia's first ever 35km Race Walk titles at Fawkner Park in Melbourne.
Rhydian clocked 2:37:57 and Kelly crossed the line in 3:00:04 to secure their titles.
Hockey
The Hockeyroos travelled to New Zealand and have come away undefeated in the 2022 Trans-Tasman series.
The series result was undecided right up until the fourth and final match, following an Australia win and two draws from the first three games.
A 2-1 win in the last game with goals from the captain Brooke Peris and Rebecca Greiner got the Hockeyroos over the line.
The Kookaburras will get their crack at the Black Sticks in their Trans-Tasman series, starting Tuesday 31 May.
Football
After winning the Women's Super League title and Player of the Year in England last week with Chelsea, Sam Kerr was not finished turning heads.
She scored twice in the FA Cup Final win overnight against Manchester City, with her second goal (in the 99th minute) breaking a 2-2 deadlock in extra time.
The game was played in front of a record 49,094 fans at Wembley Stadium as Sam repeated her 2021 final effort where she also scored two goals.
Triathlon
Tokyo 2020 Olympian Matthew Hauser recorded his best ever world series result, finishing fourth in Yokohama.
It is a major confidence booster as the 24-year-old has the 2022 Commonwealth Games in his sights.
Also in the race were Aussies Jacob Birtwhistle (14th), Luke Willian (26th) and Brandon Copeland (35th).
