The AOC is proud to launch it's inaugual Wellbeing Week encouraging both athletes and fans alike to #ChampionYourself.
This week-long initiative is a great opportunity to remind athletes, fans, family and friends how important it is to invest in yourself and those around you.
Olympic gold, silver and bronze medallist and AOC's Olympian Services Manager, Daniel Kowalski said Wellbeing Week is an important reminder to take time out to focus on yourself, regardless of how busy life can get.
"We live such hectic lives which means we quite often neglect a number of areas that are really important to us. Wellbeing Week serves as a great reminder to take a moment to stop, take a breath and ensure you are looking after youself in all aspects of life
"We want people to champion themselves every day, just a small shift in focus and action can have a large impact and we hope that people will pick up a tip or two to help with their overall wellbeing.
"It doesn't have to be anything large, time consuming or overwhelming, thinking about championing yourself and taking small steps towards this can make such a difference."
Wellbeing Week will feature a series of Lunch & Learn sessions, streamed live on Facebook @AUSOlympicTeam from 12:30 pm (AEST) where you will hear from Olympians such as Cate and Bronte Campbell (Swimming), Nathan and Josh Katz (Judo), Rob Bell (Canoe Slalom), Cameron McKenzie-Harg (Rowing), Jenna O'Hea (Basketball) and industry experts like Sally Walker (Senior Dietitian NSWIS), Nick Glozier (Professor of Psychological Medicine, Psychiatry), Hugh van Cuylenberg (The Resilience Project) and Blair James (Co-Founder and Director - Bondi Sands) who will cover a range of topics including;
