Australian junior snowboarder Scott James has just completed an amazing northern hemisphere season which saw him rack up a series of great results in Europe and the United States.

James, from the Melbourne suburb of Warrandyte, competed in both halfpipe and slopestyle, taking on 17 events in five countries in both junior and senior categories.

The highlights of the 14-year-old’s tour were winning both the US Junior halfpipe at Stratton Mountain and two European Open events in Laax.

The snowboard website Open snowboarding.com summed up his Junior US Open win by saying:

“. . . no one could even compete with Australia’s Scotty James, who melted faces with a huge and tech run that featured a backside 9 into a frontside 7, backside 7, frontside 5, backside 5, finishing with an alley oop crippler. Seriously, dudes twice his age who think they’re pro better recognise when he drops in at next year’s semi-finals.”
