Courtney started playing Ice Hockey when she was just nine years old.

Originally taking up figure skating lessons, Courtney saw how much fun her dad was having at the hockey clubs ‘come-and-try' sessions and decided to give it a go and has been training and competing in Ice Hockey ever since.

In 2016 Courtney was selected to attend the Sidney Crosby Hockey School in Halifax Nova Scotia, where she was able to improve her skating and stick handling skills.

More recently, Courtney was named as one of the assistant captains for the 2018 U13 Queensland State Hockey Team and won the 2019 ‘Coaches Choice' award at the U13 National Peewee Camp.
