ABOUT HUGO

Hugo trains with the NSW Cross-Country team and is coached by Cross-Country Winter Olympian Callum Watson.

Hugo first tried cross-country when he was in year 5 at school after his school asked him to try it out in order to form a team for the Interschools Cross-Country race, and he has never looked back.

Hugo considers going to Canada in 2018 and winning both the sprint and long-distance races in the Alberta Cup a career highlight.

More recently, Hugo won gold at the 2019 U18 Birkebeiner 21km, he placed 2nd in the U20 2019 Australian Championships in the Sprint, and 4th in the U20 2019 Australian Championships in the distance event.
