Isabella first put on a pair of cross-country skis when she was 10 years old, and loved the thrill of going fast, travelling and meeting new people.

Two years later she swapped over to Biathlon, combining her love for skiing fast with the skill of shooting at a target. In 2019, she became the Australian Biathlon WU19 Sprint Champion (6km) and WU19 Short Champion (7.5km).

Additionally, Isabella achieved an impressive 80th place at the 2019 World Junior Championships in the 10km race.
