HAVE A GO AT OLYMPIC SPORTS
Every year, the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) provides and administers a range of funding programs that support Australian athletes and Australian sports.
Some of the programs are funded directly by the AOC. Other sources of funding are provided by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), with the AOC offering administrative support to help sports or athletes make strong applications to successfully secure grants.
In 2025, the AOC also launched a New Aspiring Australian Olympian Funding initiative in collaboration with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF), which created a fresh opportunity for Australians to make their own tax-deductible donations directly towards Australia’s future Olympians and their Olympic dreams.
A full list of funding guidelines and opportunities are outlined below. For further information or support, athletes or representatives of the AOC’s Member Sports should contact funding@olympics.com.au.
“The funding assisted the team to attend the Pre-Olympic qualifying tournament training camp in Japan. We exceeded expectations for the project’s outcomes. The 3x3 women’s team qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, securing a gold medal with the one spot that was up for grabs against some of the world’s best opposition.”
