CoSport and the Australian Olympic Committee announced today that 3,000 additional tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games have been secured for sale to the Australian public.
CoSport and the Australian Olympic Committee announced today that 3,000 additional tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games have been secured for sale to the Australian public.
This inventory includes tickets for some of the most highly sought after sports, including; athletics, basketball, beach volleyball, and gymnastics. The additional tickets are on sale at the CoSport website (CoSport.com.au). All sales are of “live” inventory, and all customers will be handled on a first-come, firstserve basis.
“Additional tickets being made available by CoSport for sale to the Australian public is great news for fans of the Olympic Games,” said Craig Phillips, Secretary General of the AOC. “Fan support is important to our athletes, and more Australians will now have the chance to be on hand in London cheering on their team. ”
The AOC appointed CoSport as its exclusive authorized ticket reseller and hospitality package provider for the London 2012 Olympic Games. To date, the demand for tickets to the London Games is proving to
be very strong, with CoSport having already received requests for almost 50,000 tickets.
In addition to individual tickets CoSport also offers for sale both ticket and hospitality pass packages (“THPPs”) and hospitality packages that include accommodations. The hospitality packages and THPPs are also for sale on a live basis at CoSport.com.au.
CoSport will leave all tickets for sale until April 2012 at which time the company will suspend sales in order to assign and process the seat locations for all sold tickets. CoSport will resume on-line sales for any unsold tickets in June 2012.
