The AOC elections will take place on 6 May 2017 at the Annual General Meeting. The AOC Athletes Commission will cast two votes.
The members of the Athletes’ Commission have put in place a process to determine the votes of the Chair and Deputy Chair at the upcoming AGM.
We believe that the voice of all athletes should be heard, and should have an impact on the outcome of the upcoming elections.
Below is an outline of the process: The Athletes’ Commission has been presented to by both candidates for President.
- Each candidate presented their platforms
- The candidates then answered questions from the Commission members
The Athletes’ Commission will meet on Thursday, 4 May 2017.
- The Commission will hold a discussion on the candidates for President, Vice-President and the Executive
- Each Commission member will cast a vote to determine their preferred candidate for President
- The vote will be a secret vote, so that each member can feel free to vote without judgement
The votes of the Chair and the Deputy Chair at the AGM will reflect the combined view of the Athletes Commission. These votes will be cast in secret.
