WATER POLO: The Australian Men’s Water Polo squad have named their side for the World League Intercontinental Tournament in Japan that will take place from 10-15 May.
Teams from Australia, Brazil, China, Japan, Kazakhstan and USA will all take part, with the top four teams going through to the World League Super Final that will be held in Huizhou, China in June.
With Australia set to play both Brazil and Japan in the preliminary rounds in Rio, the Tournament will form an important part of the squad’s preparation for the Olympic Games.
Australia have spent the last week in Japan as part of a training camp and test match with the Japanese side, where they won 7-6.
The squad will head to the USA after the World League Tournament for a training camp and test match series with the home side.
