With the Pacific Championships event getting closer, the Australian Men’s Curling team have stepped up their training, taking part in another training camp in New Zealand.

The camp was the second in a series of OWI supported camps, and was conducted in Dunedin and Naseby in New Zealand’s South Island from October 11th to 15th.
The OWI provided the team with support for the training camps and will provide additional competition coaching services.

The camp was attended by Hugh Millikin, Ian Palangio, Steve Johns and Sean Hall.

Competition experience was also had against the current and former New Zealand International representative teams.

In summary, the camp was a great success, with the team benefiting from training at two facilities, which were of a very high standard. A good mix of games and training sessions allowed all players to work on key fundamental processes and communication.

A third and final camp is being conducted at the end of October.
