An Australian Select 15 and under ice hockey team defeated New 5-0 in an international game in September.

An Australian Select 15 and under ice hockey team defeated New 5-0 in an international game in September.
The game was played in conjunction with the 2003 Kurt de Fris 15 and under Championships in Penrith.
In the national 15 and under championships, New South Wales took the title, defeating Victoria 9-1 in the final. South Australia took the bronze medal.
Top point scorer for the tournament was New South Wales’ Scott Herbert, with team-mate Peter Haywood the top goal keeper.
Australia’s 2004 world championship program commences in January with the Junior (Under 20) team taking on Division three opponents Mexico, Bulgaria, Turkey, New Zealand and China.
The tournament will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from January 5 to 11.
