Begg-Smith dominates ABOM Mogul Challenge at Mt Buller

Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWI) Mogul skier and world number two, Dale Begg-Smith, has dominated the field to comfortably take out his third straight ABOM Mogul Challenge event at Mt Buller on August 27.

Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWI) Mogul skier and world number two, Dale Begg-Smith, has dominated the field to comfortably take out his third straight ABOM Mogul Challenge event at Mt Buller on August 27.

Dale qualified for the dual mogul finals in first place and was never troubled on his way to victory. Canadian young gun Alexandre Bilodeau finished in second place with Japanese athlete Yu Masukawa taking out the battle for third place ahead of OWI athlete Nick Fisher.

Australian development athletes Ramone Cooper and Robert Lovick both had impressive results in the international field
In the women’s event, OWI athlete Manuela Berchtold had to settle for second, after losing her dual against Japan’s Miki Ito.

Former Japanese World Championship medallist Aiko Uemura finished in third place, with 15 year-old Australian development athlete Emma Chapman-Davies in fourth place.
