Branch took the silver medal in the Austrian national super G championship, finished fourth in the French downhill title and seventh in the French super G.
Although most of the top Austrian downhillers were not in their national event, Branch finished ahead of several higher ranked skiers, including Christian Mayer and Thomas Graggaber. Rok Pesko won the race in 1:14.26, with Branch .4 of a second slower down the Innerkrems course.
In the French downhill in Les Carroz-Flaine, Branch finished ahead of higher ranked World Cup competitors Marc Bottollier-Lasquin, Johan Cleary and Pierre-Emanuel Dalcin among others.
The French world number seven Antoine Deneriaz won the race in a time of 1:17.56 from Finlay Mickel of Great Britain and Yannick Bertrand of France. Branch was just .57 of a second behind the winner and .06 from the podium.
