Branch finished in 36th place in the super G, 2.96 seconds behind race winner Daron Rahlves of the United States.
A day earlier he had made 40th place in the downhill in a time of one minute 46.06 seconds, 2.65 seconds behind gold medallist Stefan Eberharter of Austria.
Branch placed 37th in the Val Gardena super G earlier in the season and has a best result of 45th in the Vail/Beaver Creek downhill.
Eberharter clinched the downhill title with his Kvitfjell victory, his fourth for the season, while Maier had already wrapped up the super G title.
Maier’s ninth place in the downhill and third in the super G stretched his lead on Overall title rival Bode Miller of the US. Going into the four-race World Cup finals in Sestriere this week, Maier leads the points table on 1165 points, 67 ahead of Miller. Eberharter is in third place on 1083 points.
