Torah Bright has won the US Open halfpipe snowboard title, clinching her second straight Global Open Series title in the process. Bright scored 84.17 points to defeat 2002 Olympic gold medalist Kelly Clark of the USA on 79.33. Clark’s compatriot Gretchen Bleiler took third place.

Bright scored 84.17 points to defeat 2002 Olympic gold medalist Kelly Clark of the USA on 79.33. Clark’s compatriot Gretchen Bleiler took third place.

The NSWIS rider took top honours – and a tidy $100,000 - in the six-event Global Open Series with 40482 points overall, defeating Great Britain’s Jenny Jones on 40076.

The men’s series title went to Peetu Piiroinen of Finland.
