DIVING: Perth teenager Maddison Keeney has won bronze in the 3-metre springboard at the diving World Series in Kazan, Russia.
Keeney made a slow start to the world-class final, sitting fifth after the opening dive, but moved into the bronze medal position with her fourth dive.
China’s Zi He took the gold with 388.20, with Italy’s Tania Cagnotto taking silver with 362.20 points.
Keeney finished on 352.15 points.
Australia has qualified two quotas in the 3-metre springboard for the Rio Olympics, with the final team to be decided at the Australian trials in Melbourne next month.
Australia’s other entry in the World Series springboard event, Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Esther Qin, had a no-dive in her semi-final and did not qualify for the final.
