Even winning a silver medal at the Olympics doesn’t get you a sleep in, as Torah Bright proved on Thursday. The Snowboard Halfpipe silver medallist spent the day sharing her Olympic adventure with audiences around the world.

SNOWBOARD: Even winning a silver medal at the Olympics doesn’t get you a sleep in, as Torah Bright found out the hard way.

Bright spent an entire day talking to the media following her second place in the Snowboard Halfpipe late on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old-old did interviews well into the night, only to wake up for a press conference early the next morning.

Answering all the questions thrown at her, Bright said the medal wasn’t just hers.

“This is my brother’s, my family’s, it’s our nation’s and I’m so happy I can bring home some more hardware for you all,” she said.

Relishing sharing her adventure with Australians back home, Bright headed off to Channel Ten first.

After interviews and a few ‘selfies’ for Twitter, an in demand Bright was off to the next pit stop.

It wasn’t just the Australian media that wanted a piece of the golden girl, next up was NBC’s Today show.

After preventing a USA clean sweep in the event, Bright appeared on the show with friends and US competitors, gold medallist Kaitlyn Farrington and bronze medallist Kelly Clark.

With six million people watching, the trio showed the world the friendly nature of their competition and the bond the snowboarding group share.

The three were pictured dancing around, celebrating their Olympic success.

Bright then headed off to other commitments with international media, before a short dinner stop before the Olympic Medal Ceremony.

If the amount of photograph flashes going off during the ceremony wasn’t enough, she then had excited fans stopping her on the Olympic Park foothpath for a quick picture.

With those white teeth on show, Bright looked every bit the Olympic medallist in her yellow Karbon jacket- to be worn by Australian medallists in Sochi.

Then it was to the media scrum, Australian television and radio journalists hoping to get a glimpse of Torah to show the audience at home. Posing and biting her medal, Bright said she was overjoyed to have a medal to add to her gold from Vancouver four years ago.

After starting on skis at the age of two, Bright is now the equal most successful Australian Winter Olympian, with a gold and silver medal.

The girl from Cooma’s Olympic campaign is far from over. She’ll be back on Day 9 in the new Olympic event Snowboard Cross.
