Jo Carter has finished 16th in the Four Continents Championships, her lowest placing for the last seven years.
Carter was in 18th place after the short program on 38.35 points, then earned 70.05 points from the judges to rank 16th in the free program for an overall score of 108.40.
Fellow Australian Phoebe Di Tommaso finished in 22nd place on 92.92 points after ranking 19th on the short program.
The gold medal went to World Champion Kimmie Meissner of the USA with 172.75 points, after her free program lifted her from an intermediate placing of sixth.
Compatriot Emily Hughes was second on 166.60, while Canadian Joanne Rochette took the bronze medal on 165.9 points.
Sean Carlow was the best of the Australians in the men's event, finishing in 13th place on 127.08 points.
Nicholas Fernandez, making his debut at the Championships, was three places further back on 103.43 points and Dean Timmins placed 20th with 93.74 points.
The gold went to Evan Lyasek of the United States in 226.27 points.
In Ice Dancing, Maria and Evgeni Borounov placed 12th on 83.52 points.
