Champion New Zealand sailboarder, Barbara Kendall, has become a member of the International Olympic Committee.
Champion New Zealand sailboarder, Barbara Kendall, has become a member of the International Olympic Committee.
Kendall, a former member of the IOC Athletes’ Commission, received full membership following a vote of members at the 123rd Session in Durban, South Africa.
Kendall won gold at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, silver in Atlanta 1996 and a bronze medal at the Sydney 2000 Games. She is a five-time Olympian.
She is a great friend of the Australian Olympic Committee.
Barbara has coached Australian athletes and is a presenter of the AOC’s Winning Attitudes program which mentors young athletes and prepares them for Olympic competition.
