New South Wales Institute of Sport skier Ramone Cooper won the NSW leg of the Junior National Mogul Championships at Perisher Blue last weekend, with Buller Riders’ Natalie Segal claiming first place in the Junior Women's.

The Youth Men’s gold medal went to David Graham (NSWIS) with Mt Buller’s Tori Hamilton Wilson taking the Youth Women’s top spot.

Team Buller athlete Robert Lovick, on scholarship and training with NSWIS, was unlucky not to win the junior men’s event. He led after the first run, but was narrowly pipped in the second run by NSWIS team-mate Ramone Cooper, who made his World Cup debut on the Torino 2006 moguls course last season.

Mt Buller will host the Victorian leg of the Junior National series, when competitors compete on the weekend of August 13-14 on the Chamois ski run. (Story with assistance of Team Buller)
