Cooper takes out Australian Continental Cup Mogul Series

OWI Scholarship athlete Ramone Cooper has taken out the 2007 Australian Continental Cup Mogul series, after skiing to second place in the Heineken ABOM Mogul Challenge at Mt Buller. Cooper lost his final duel in the ABOM event to world number three, Alexandre Bilodeau of Canada, 25-0, when he crashed after the top air.

In the battle for third place, former OWI scholarship athlete Nick Fisher narrowly edged out Robert Lovick in a close duel which fell 13-12 to Fisher.

In the women’s division, World Championship medallist Margarita Marbler of Austria was crowned the women’s Continental Cup champion after winning all three Australian events.

The leading Australian female athlete in the Continental Cup series was 15-year-old NSWIS scholarship athlete, Nicole Parks of Jindabyne, who posted a number of promising results against World Cup skiers from Austria, Italy, Japan and Canada.
