Holly Crawford and Nate Johnstone have qualified for the finals in the second of two halfpipe events at the US Grand Prix in Mammoth Mountain, California.

Crawford followed her third place finish in the opening event of the meet by riding to the third highest score in the elimination round, while Johnstone qualified in sixth place for tomorrow’s final.

“Holly and Nate both rode extremely well to qualify for tomorrow’s final,” said OWI Halfpipe Coach Andrew Burton.

“Nate fell on his first run on his second last hit but came out blazing on his second run to post the third highest score in his heat and qualify sixth overall.”

“Nate’s riding is definitely on par with the world’s best.”

“Holly lifted her game to put in a strong run on her first qualifying run, posting the third highest score of the day.”

“She went all out on her second run and wowed the judges with a solid front side 900 first hit but unfortunately fell on her second last hit and had to rely on her first run score to qualify.”
