LILLEHAMMER 2016: Four Aussies will wrap up their Lillehammer 2016 campaign in Hafjell on Day 7.

Mahalah Mullins and Emily Arthur get the day underway with snowboard slopestyle at Hafjell Freepark.

The event sees the athletes head down a course that features a series of jumps and rails/boxes that they perform tricks over.

Slopestyle specialist Mullins has been out training hard over the past couple of days and is pumped up to go large in Lillehammer.

“I’m excited for the competition,” Mullins said. 

“Training hasn’t exactly the way we hoped as the course has been difficult with the wind.

“I’m really hoping I can put down my run and then we will see how I will go with results.”

Later in the afternoon on the same course Cam Waddell gets his chance to shine in his favoured event, ski slopestyle.

The youngster from Jindabyne just couldn’t quite land his run in the halfpipe but has always set his sights on the Lillehammer slopestyle competition.

“I’m super excited and the course is really fun,” he said.

“Training went really well. I landed one run that I’ve been doing for a little while so if I can put that down in competition then we will see what happens.”

Just on the other side of the mountain Louis Muhlen will finish his four race program with the slalom event.

The 17-year-old from Melbourne was unable to finish the giant slalom on day 5 and will be hoping for another top 20 finish to wrap up Lillehammer 2015 on a high.

With many of the athletes now finished their competition they are getting the opportunity to get involved with the IOC’s Learn and Share program.
