Luke Deane has recorded his second top ten Europa Cup result in two days, finishing fourth in a giant slalom race in Levi, Finland.
Deane posted the fastest time on the first run then slipped to fifteenth on the second run, but that was enough to record a career-best Europa Cup placing for the second day in a row.
His time of 2:09.16 was just .19 of a second off the winner's time.
A day earlier, the Skiing Australia/NSW Institute of Sport skier had placed sixth in another GS at the same venue. This time he recorded the fastest time in the second run to secure his first top ten placing, and his first top 50, in fact.
Mirko Deflorian of Italy took the gold medal in both races, with Dominick Gschwenter of Austria collecting the silver medal double.
